About Us
Our clients and their pets are the reason we continue to thrive in a community that our team has served for over 20 years! Having purchased California Pet Hospital in 1996, Dr. Randy Lung decided to pass the ownership of his beloved hospital onto the VetnCare team in 2016. Dr. Ali Silver joined as Clinical Director and Partner in 2020.
We are equipped to assist you with routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime. We have the ability to manage your pet’s care here at our facility and can solve most ailments in-house which saves time, and most importantly, it can save your pet’s life.
Did you know we are also able to offer our patients advanced orthopedic surgical procedures, such as TPLOs? This saves you a trip to the emergency or specialty hospital and ensures your pets get cared for by the team they have come to know and love!
Our team immerses ourselves in the wider Napa Valley community and are proud supporters of the local Napa County Animal Shelter as well as Muttville Senior Dog Rescue.
The people and the pets of the Napa Valley are our passion. Our tight-knit team comes to work every day to provide the best care possible for your furry companions and family members!
How do we provide compassionate care?
It starts with developing a quality team of caring, respectful, motivated, highly skilled individuals.
Our team is our greatest asset: our friendly and helpful Client Service Representatives – the advocates for our clients, and our Technical team, who are responsible for providing nursing care to our patients – the advocates for your pets. Our highly educated veterinarians use their vast medical knowledge and passion for pets to help everyone who walks through our doors. Our whole team embraces, and your furry friends benefit, from our high standards of clinical care.
Our AAHA accreditation means that our hospital has been evaluated on over 900 standards of veterinary excellence. To maintain this accreditation, hospitals undergo a rigorous review by veterinary experts every three years. Your pets are our passion. And keeping them happy and healthy is our #1 priority.

We strive to make every visit as gentle, pain-free, and stress-free as possible for your pets. We are proud that many of our hospital team members are Fear Free certified! To become certified, veterinarians and our teams are required to complete a comprehensive, 8-part educational course and exam.
